Set Entry Owner

This activity can make a user an entry's owner or remove an owner from an entry. A user that owns an entry automatically has the security permissions to manage the entry, even if the user does not otherwise have the relevant rights or privileges to that entry. More information.

See the tokens this activity produces.

Example: Your workflow creates a copy of a master HR form for each employee in the company. Each employee is e-mailed their personal form to fill out. Because Workflow created the forms, their entry owner is the Workflow User as defined in the workflow's connection profile. However, you can use the Set Entry Owner activity to make each employee the owner of his or her form, automatically granting him or her the security permissions to edit and manage the form.

Example: Laserfiche automatically makes scanner operators the owner of the documents they create (scan) in the repository. Use this activity to remove entry ownership from these documents so the scanner operators cannot modify them.
